October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and here at CBSbutler we are planning a day of pink themed activity in support of Breast Cancer Campaign’s wear it pink day on Friday 28th October.
All staff will dress in pink and donate a minimum of £2 each to the cause. There will be a pink themed cake sale, pink champagne, and fines for those who haven’t gone the extra mile!
Last year hundreds of thousands of people took part in wear it pink raising a staggering £2.5 million for breast cancer research to help improve survival rates for the one in eight women who experience this form of cancer during their lifetime. Every year, some 48,000 are diagnosed with breast cancer and wear it pink helps to fund vital research into the disease which affects so many.
Breast Cancer Campaign aims to beat breast cancer by funding innovative world-class research to understand how the cancer develops, leading to improved diagnosis, treatment, prevention and cure. Currently the charity supports 81 research projects, worth over £15.5 million, in 31 centres of excellence across the UK and Ireland.
