Avionics Systems Engineer

Our client is a UK subsidiary of a major US electronics corporation, with a strong presence in both military and civil aerospace, and allied markets. They are looking to expand their systems engineering team and require 2 Avionics Systems Engineers.

The Avionics Systems Engineer will:

+ Provide Avionics Systems and Airborne communications expertise in support of Defence-related avionics equipment and sub-system development activities including Requirements Analysis, System Design, System Build, System Integration, and Test & Acceptance
+ Berequired to support upgrade, integration and test at customer facilities and must therefore be familiar with aircraft working practices
+ Be required to operate autonomously and as part of a larger team including operating within the greater client's engineering community as well as operate with sub-contract organisations

The Avionics Systems Engineer will need:

+ Educated to degree level in a relevant Engineering discipline. or equivalent
+ Computer literate and familiar with using normal business and engineering software applications packages
+ Have experience in the design, development, installation, integration and fielding of Avionics and Airborne communications Systems
+ Experience in a Systems Architectural or Systems Engineering role, familiar with the traditional systems engineering lifecycle
+ Familiarity with current state of the art Avionics Systems Architectures, databus technologies/protocols, certification standards and Open Systems Architectures
