The technical environment employs ASP.NET 2.0, SQL Server 2005, Powerbuilder, C#, C++, VB6, VB.NET, ASP, XML and Business Objects.


Description:

You will join an existing team of Business Objects Data Integrator and Universe Developers. This team will be undertaking further development on the ETL for an existing data warehouse, which will involve
1) implementing and unit testing additional data flows;
2) designing and implementing changes to the Universes.

Essential Skills:


- The ideal candidate will have a proven history in the development and administration of Business Objects XI.
- Experienced in Business Objects Universe design and implementation.
- Experienced in Data Integrator design and implementation.
- Experienced in XI 3.1 Webi Reports writing and Excelsius Dashboard beneficial.

Other essentials:

- S.C Clearance
- Strong communications skills.
- Strong team player.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Strong experience in a development or production support environment
- Previous MoD experience
- A working knowledge of Configuration Management

Day to Day Responsibilities:


Reporting to the Project Manager / Design Authority, responsibilities will include:
* Follow a detailed plan for coding and testing data items to existing databases using Data Integrator.
* As a member of the team, the following might be required:
- Preparation of data.
- Universe design and development.
- Webi Reports writing.
- Coding DI data flows.
- Carry out regression testing of Data Integrator and Reports.
- Investigation and resolution of any issues encountered during testing.
- Ensure that all activities are fully documented.
