A leading and expanding company who have developed an innovative power generation technology have created a new vacancy for a CAE Manager.
Purpose of the Job:
To drive forward CAE development and analyses to ensure technology is implemented with
innovative and industry leading designs.
Key Accountabilities:
+ CAE Tool Development
+ Through gap analysis or similar create roadmaps of CAE developments in order to meet
programme requirements and business objectives
+ Management of planned development of CAE tools and techniques, including oversight of testing for validation purposes
+ CAE Analysis
+ Manage/conduct analysis projects and inform engineering community of optimal solutions to meet product technical requirements
+ Defining scope of project and agreeing with stakeholders
+ Detailing assumptions and limitations of analysis techniques
+ Providing results tailored to business needs
+ Provide engineering insight in analysis and results reporting including recommend technical changes or further work
+ Develop understand of key parameters for improved component and system level performance and guide further design iterations based on analysis results
+ Resource planning and task prioritisation to meet business needs
+ Engineering support
+ Work closely to develop and manage road maps and analysis projects
+ Request and report CAE budget spend
+ Support evidence based decision making processes through simulation or other analytical techniques
+ Agree and report CAE analysis projects
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
+ Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
+ Substantial experience working in a fast paced CAE environment developing tools and
techniques while also solving engineering problems for mass volume products
+ Expert in at least one CAE modelling technique; FEA, CFD, 1-D system modelling, Chemical
reaction modelling
+ Extensive understanding of all CAE modelling techniques
