Commercial Manager. To provide Commercial leadership and guidance to those key organisational functions including but not limited to Business Development and Programme execution.
To supervise and provide guidance to direct reports and other commercial staff.
To ensure that any agreements that the company enters into are legally compliant, are commensurate with approved levels of risk and maximise potential profitability.
Responsibilities as a Commercial Manager:
+ Acting as Commercial Authority within the project delivery team, ensuring an effective contracts and subcontracts strategy and process is applied.
+ Manage contract negotiation and implementation, contract performance, subcontract management, change proposals and contract dispute resolution.
+ Ownership of and responsibility for achieving cash targets for the business area (invoice/cash management and ensuring the accuracy of the forecast cash receipts from billings - Mission Systems only).
+ Business Agreement preparation and execution (including Teaming, Confidentiality and Licence).
+ Timely inputs into Information Systems, database logs and company intranet.
+ Work proactively to address Commercial risk and implement appropriate mitigation actions.
+ Delivery of Offset and Industrial Participation obligations on contracts within area of responsibility.
Experience as a Commercial Manager:
+ Extensive knowledge gained in a similar role.
+ Previous experience of MoD contracting.
+ Knowledge of Commercial Terms and Conditions.
+ Previous experience of Proposal Writing.
+ Supervisory/leadership experience.
+ Knowledge of Contract Management and Customer Relationship Management.
+ Knowledge of Subcontract Management.
