Our client is a centre of scientific and technological excellence, with some of the most advanced research, design and production facilities in the world. They are looking to recruit a Commercial Manager accountable to the Senior Commercial Manager to manage the effective delivery of and monitoring of the contractual commitments to the customer.
NB. You will need to be able to undergo the UK Security Clearance Process to do this role.
The Commercial Manager will:
+ Ensure commercial processes, policies and standards that can be planned and measured, are available to deliver the requirements for the programmes
+ Prepare and author company wide processes, standards and procedures, work instructions and undertake reviews to ensure standards etc. are being adhered to
+ Manage negotiations and contractual agreements with Customers that protect our clients business needs
+ Establish and maintain effective relationships with the SWPT (Strategic Weapons Project Team), MoD IPRG (Intellectual Property Rights Group) and other customers
The Commercial Manager will need:
+ Good working knowledge of contract law and contract drafting
+ Working knowledge of defence tendering and bidding processes
+ Understanding of commercial principles and processes
+ Working knowledge of project management
+ Working knowledge of risk management
+ Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages
