Control Systems Engineer

The Controls Engineer will help develop the Company's strategy for controls and systems engineering. He/she will specify and manage all controls and instrumentation requirements for the business with a focus on vacuum systems and equipment.
The Controls Engineer will also support the business with expertise in instrumentation and controls.


Design control systems for systems
Standardise and modularise business control requirements and define control architectures
Specify Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) for systems
Specify software requirements
Write or construct operating manuals for controls and systems
Write build and test specifications
Construct Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID)
Program PLCs and use of Ladder Logic
Manage CE/UL approvals
Establish partners and sourcing strategy for controls
Support design and engineering to commercialise products
Support customer projects from start to finish

5+ years' practical experience of systems engineering, particularly from modular system controls
3+ years' experience from specifying software (HMI)
3+ years' experience in technical documentation/specification
Proficient and excellent understanding of electrical systems and wiring
Proficient in MS Office/Excel/Project
Experience in 3rd party interfaces
