Control Engineer must be familiar with either Emerson Delta-V, Foxboro I/A, Honeywell Experion, along with a suite of software tools used for configuration.
The engineer needs to have experience of Oil & Gas Projects / Chemicals (5 years minimum). Furthermore they must be able to produce software to client standards.
Where required the engineer will produce a formal software design document, for a full System Specification including auto specs, I/O definition and control narrative for larger Capital Projects
The Engineer will be required to test the system configuration and produce test documents to allow this to happen. The engineer would need to have a working knowledge of instrumentation and control as applied to field equipment on Oil and Gas projects / Chemical Projects.
Knowledge of computer documentation software is required.
It would be expected that they be familiar with, the Health and Safety regulations, and the relevant Engineering Standards as applied to the discipline. Experience of Offshore / Plant / Refinery would be a distinct advantage.

1. Preparation of estimates from the scope.
2. Production of Systems Specification Document
3. Software Design and Offline Configuration
4. Loading the New Configuration onto a live System.
5. Leading Testing and Checkout
6. Fault Finding and Error Resolution
7. Completing As Installed Documentation and Archiving of Modification
