Cost Estimator - Electronics
A longstanding and highly successful electronics manufacturer who specialize in low volume, high value, high performance systems has encountered an unprecedented demand for their range of products and sub-contract capability. This demand has broken all records in their production output resulting in the need for an Estimator.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with engineers and suppliers in the development and validation of labour & material estimates for various types of electronics assemblies.
Cost Estimator - Electronics - Role and Responsibilities
+ Maintain a library of outputs and pricing data
+ Use Excel to set up costing spreadsheets
+ Provide support to Purchasing department as & when required
+ Maintain and monitor all quotations
+ Co-ordinate activities between affected departments
+ Responsible for quoting accuracy, detail and content
+ Provide support for Design for Manufacture activities
+ Support business development activities
+ Ensure that estimating procedures are followed in the production of quotations
+ Ensure all quotations are fully reviewed by the Senior Manager/Director with appropriate financial authority
Cost Estimator - Electronics - Skills and Experience required
+ Advanced Excel skills essential
+ Able to read and interpret technical drawings
+ Health and Safety awareness
+ Must be flexible and be able to work under own initiative with minimal support
+ May be expected to work irregular hours depending on work loads
+ Commercially aware and highly numerate
+ Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
+ Holder of a valid UK driving licence
