This expansion has lead directly to the creation of a brand new vacancy for a Database Software Developer - T-SQL C#.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The development team is responsible for supporting the main applications used by the Electronic Discovery (ED) group. The team works closely with the ED Operations team and together they make up the Data Management Services group. The position will involve interactions with the majority of the main operational teams in the company such as Project Management, Sales and IT.
The Database Software Development Engineer will be responsible for;
+ Modifying existing databases and applications
+ Implementing additional functionality and analysing the document processing process.
This may involve engineering support for rare file types and other out of the box requests and encompasses a variety of tasks which are generally achieved by using T-SQL and C# programming. There is a strong focus on database work, with many of the tasks involving the manipulation and presentation of data.
Tasks
+ Working with databases using MS SQL T-SQL and other MS SQL tools to solve and create the processes required to meet the client or business requirements.
+ Creating quick turnaround and bespoke C# tools to meet client or business requirements.
+ Ensure that the custom procedures, processes and tools developed are documented to an appropriate level.
+ Assisting with the migration of data from both internal and external systems.
+ On-site assistance and support of remote ED solutions placed on customer site or in remote (non-London) locations across Europe.
EU, US & Far East Travel Requirements:
+ May be for 2-3 weeks at a time (3 week on, 3 weeks off) over a 6 month period while supporting the remote ED solution; otherwise Minimal travel 0-10%
EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:
+ Degree or relevant work experience would be ideal
+ Legal/Industry knowledge or experience would be advantageous but not essential.
+ T-SQL and DBA skill with SQL server
+ .Net programming knowledge using C# and VB.NET
+ Ability to make sound technical decisions in a fast paced environment
