Desktop Security Engineer
This leading Healthcare organisation now has a fantastic opportunity for a Desktop Security Engineer who will be responsible for managing the encryption infrastructure, ensuring devices are functional and in an encrypted state.
The role of the Desktop Security Engineer will involve:
+ Disaster Recovery planning and testing
+ Supporting an approximate user base of 50,000 laptops
+ Provision of EEPC training and support to Level 3 IT organisations and Level 1 support staff
+ Monitoring of server/logs/jobs etc - coordinating/owning issue resolution of any server issues
+ Coordination & ownership of phased EEPC rollout across the enterprise
+ Maintenance of documentation and knowledge base articles
Desktop Security Engineer - Skills/Experience
+ Experience of McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.7/HIPS & EPO (v4.x) is essential for this role
+ ITIL v3 with a focus and demonstrable understanding of Service Design/Delivery
+ Strong level of experience in a third level technical support role, with a focus on encryption/safeboot technologies
The successful Desktop Security Engineer will ideally come from a regulated industry such as Banking and Finance or Healthcare, Medical or Pharmaceuticals. Applicants must have experience of threat management at Servers / Console level as well as desktops and laptops.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading organisation on a contract basis with the possibility of a permanent position. For the position the client can offer a very competitive salary in the region of £30k dependant on experience.
