ELECTRONIC REPAIR TECHINICAN - £19K + O/T + PENSION + HEALTHCARE - MIDDLESEX

Our client supplies COTs Based command systems and information systems for applications such as Naval command and control, army tactical and mapping systems, maritime surveillance, EEZ and offshore oil and gas monitoring, they also provide weapon interface electronics on Royal Navy submarines for torpedoes, Harpoon and Tomahawk Missiles. Security clearance may be required as part of this role

ROLE - ELECTONIC REPAIR TECHNICIAN

+ Carrying out low level testing using a broad spectrum of equipments and installations supported.
+ Providing legible and accurate record keeping of any fault finding, repairs, modifications or installations carried out within the field or workplace.
+ Ensuring targets are met by providing quality and efficient work.
+ Engineering hygiene within the field or workplace. E.g. Completion of one job before starting another, accountability and maintenance of tools, keeping a clean and tidy working area to reduce the chance of any accidents, etc.
+ Assembly of military products using detailed drawings and instructions as required.
+ Assisting with fault finding, installation and commissioning activities within the field or workplace as required.
+ Ensuring all repairs, modifications or installations of, (surface mount, through hole, cables, PCB's, etc), equipments within the field or workplace are carried out in accordance with Engineering drawings, instructions and standards, (IPC-A-610, IPC ESD CD54).
+ Refurbishments and repairs to returned goods as required.
+ Highlighting any training requirements they need to aid them in providing quality and efficient work.

SKILLS - ELECTRONICS REPAIR TECHNICAN

+ Minimum City & Guilds Electronics or equivalent qualification in a technical discipline.
+ Good electronic wiring skills
+ Able to fault finding to component level.
+ Workmanship standard IPC - A-610, ESD IPC CD 54.
+ Experience for working in a manufacturing environment.
