The Role: Electrical Test Engineer
Salary: c. £22,500 - £24,500
Location: Dorset
Our client is the market leader for Air-to-Air Refuelling, providing innovative fourth generation nose to tail solutions to defence customers worldwide. Due to company growth they are looking to recruit an Electrical Test Engineer to join their Electrical Test Engineering team.
The Role: Electrical Test Engineer
As Electrical Test Engineer you will be responsible for:
+ Carrying out testing to company test procedures
+ Carrying out environmental testing as required
+ Carrying out surveys and fault diagnosis on customer returned units identifying parts to complete the repair
+ Performing insulation and resistance checks on wiring looms
+ Preparing test results and fault reports as required
+ Liaising with other technical specialists and assist with technical investigations
+ Soldering to IPC610-D
+ Assisting with proposals for product improvement and identify safety stock where required
+ Carrying out minimal assembly / re-assembly as required to complete repairs
+ Assisting with workflow through the department
Experience:
As Electrical Test Engineer you will have experience of:
+ ONC/HNC/BTEC or equivalent in electronic / electrical engineering
+ Proven knowledge of electrical testing and fault diagnosis
+ Previous experience with test equipment / test facilities
+ Previous experience of the aerospace industry standards or similar environment preferred
+ Able to Solder to IPC610-D
+ Experience in using a wide range of test equipment and Automatic Test Equipment
+ Familiarity with environmental testing requirements
