Export Manager

Export manager required for my defence client based in Hampshire.

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to undertake the following:

* Facilitate business growth within the regulatory frameworks.
* Facilitate business planning by attending key customer and internal meetings to provide an export/import overview.
* Lead the development of best practice in export/import matters across the UK-based business units.
* Represent my client in trade associations and other similar bodies that influence the regulatory framework for government contracting in the UK
* Lead interface with HMRC and supporting transportation carriers/brokers to facilitate international supply chain activity.
* Liaison with Export Compliance personnel to develop and maintain the necessary US export licences and agreements.
* Lead on export/import issues for my client in the UK and serve as the primary point of contact with UK government officials regarding export/import licensing and policy
* Liaison with other personnel including the provision of advice on export/import issues for UK-based trade shows.
* Draft and maintain the Export/Import Quality Manual.
* Supervision and development of other employees as required. May be requested to act as a mentor to more junior employees.

You must have a full understanding of ITAR regulations

Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens. Applicants who meet this criteria may also be required to undergo security clearance vetting, if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
