An opportunity has arisen with my client for several Geographic Information Strategy (GIS) Consultants. The organisation has grown to become a highly respected specialist consultancy to the Defence, National Security and associated markets. Due to their reputation, the company is looking to increase their technical work staff by over 30%.
The company provides expertise in technical consultancy, research and project management in the fields of information management, asset tracking, situational awareness and command and control applications, with a particular focus on the application of Geospatial information technology.

Consultancy Responsibilities
GIS Consultants work as part of the company's Professional Services team, who provide clients with advice and support on the application of Geographic Information to improve their business processes. Consultants will be needed to:

*Deal directly with clients
*Demonstrate an exceptional understanding of their business
*Design and develop strategies and solution to critical business issues
*Identify opportunities for improvement through technical
*Implement organisational and cultural change
*Perform programme definition and change management.

It is highly desirable that candidates who wish to apply for the GIS Consultant positions can show some or all of the following:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Capable of working under pressure in challenging and dynamic customer environments
Broad understanding of information technology
Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems
Qualified to MSc level or higher in an engineering or science discipline
Understanding of GIS (especially ArcGIS)
