Integration Engineer
Location: Reading
Duration: 12 months initially
Rate: £300 - £360 per day
Candidates will ideally have security clearance to SC level or above.
Job Description:
The role of an Integrator is to work with the relevant product SMEs to develop the content of maintenance releases and solutions to critical incidents/problems affecting the production environment.
The role includes:
* Reviewing the technical/documentary inputs to the technical delivery process.
* Assessing the technical impact of the changes on the exisiting infrastructure.
* Ensuring that the system is not adversely affected by the changes.
* Documenting installation guides, packaging requirements and other technical documentation
* Storing the outputs in the Configuration Management system.
* Adhering to the appropriate standards and procedures.
* Supporting the delivery of change through the end to end lifecycle
Essential Skills:
* Experience of Microsoft based Enterprise Infrastructure solutions
* Strong Integration Skills
* Strong Verification skills
* Good Configuration Management skills
Desirable Skills:
* Experience of Radia or other software distribution systems
* Experience of Systems Management technologies (e.g Tivoli/Netcool)
* Experience of Configuration Management systems/processes
* Experience of structured development/release lifecycles
* Sanctuary knowledge
* Good communication skills
* Windows 2003 server, Windows XP, Active Directory, SQL, Exchange
* Experience of MoD/Secure systems
* ITIL V3 awareness
