IT & Network Support Engineer
IT & Network Support Engineer is required by leading vehicle engineering company based in Staffordshire. Working part of a small team you will be responsible for providing first line support to over 180 end-users in a busy high-technology engineering company. Due to the nature of its business and the wide range of IT support needs it is essential that the successful candidate needs to be resourceful, committed and adaptable to changing circumstances.
Responsibilities:
+ Prioritising and processing internal IT helpdesk requests to provide a wide range of direct support to users.
+ Installation & configuration of desktop and notebook PC's & smart phones.
+ Maintaining accurate hardware & Software asset management databases and providing periodic reports to management.
Qualifications & Experience:
+ Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in an IT-relevant subject.
+ Proven experience in a similar technical support position.
+ Good understanding of Microsoft XP, Windows 7 and Microsoft Office.
+ Good understanding of e-mail systems, internet connectivity and PC security.
+ Good understanding of wired and wireless networks.
+ Good analytical and fault-finding skills.
+ Good written and verbal communication skills.
+ A team player who is also able to work alone unsupervised.
+ Highly-motivated and capable of working on concurrent activities.
