DV Cleared Java Developers - Cheltenham - £400 - £550 per day - URGENT!
My client is currently looking for a number of DV cleared Java developers, you will have overall responsibility for the daily management of complex J2EE, LAMP stack, Business Application installations (Windows and Linux) and PKI. You will work within a team on support provision with project involvement as and when required. Day to day, you will also have involvement in:
*Investigation and resolution of software incidents, performing root cause analysis to identify underlying problems, monitoring and optimisation of software performance.
*Liaison with customers and accounts to diagnose, investigate and resolve software issues. Working collaboratively with infrastructure groups, application developers and project managers to ensure new software is successfully integrated into operational support.
*Executing software installation, patching and performing system performance monitoring/tuning.
*Provide technical software solutions working in close partnership with Project Managers, and the end client.
Skills / Knowledge
To be considered for this role you will have a successful track record in dealing with software solutions for technically complex J2EE and LAMP stacks. In addition you will be able to demonstrate the following competencies:
Mandatory
*Broad mix of J2EE and LAMP administration skills, including Redhat LINUX.
*Redhat JBoss administration skills
*Previous experience within an Enterprise environment, with a good understanding virtualisation, installation and customisation of complex multi-node systems.
Desirable
*Firm understanding and experience of remote provisioning technologies, PKI, DNS, NIS, Shell scripting and knowledge of load balancing (software and/or hardware).
*An understanding of competencies associated with other technical towers. WWNs, MAC addresses, Network Classes, Subnets, RAID.
Candidate Attributes
*Solid technical background to draw upon, from an enterprise level or third level solution centre background. Would be seen as a key technical engineer in a SRT (Service Restoration Team).
*Strong problem investigation and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyse and resolve technical issues around software installation.
*Self starting with the ability to take ownership of work, whilst demonstrating persistence in pursuing solutions/fixes and the confidence to challenge thinking and suggest novel approaches to problems.
*Capability to work in partnership with architecture to scope and understand the client's requirements.
*Ability to critique architectural designs within your technical competencies.
*Competence to confidently work in partnership with the client to deliver solutions to deadlines.
*Diligence that delivers documentation to support the technical solution, and also in partnership with architecture evolves the original design documentation to be reflective of the delivered solution.
