Mechanical Engineering Consultants - Graduates to Chartered. One of the leading engineering consultancies continues to secure projects to solve their client's ever increasing complex engineering problems. Based in Derby, their customers design and manufacture mechanical systems used in the rail, aerospace and nuclear engineering industries. Their work load has created 10 vacancies for talented mechanical engineers which include graduates seeking a career start and established Chartered experts looking for new challenges.

Job Description
You will be undertaking technical and project orientated tasks within our engineering consultancy business or as an integral part of our client's project teams.
Working within project teams you will be undertaking a range of engineering related activities including:
+ Requirements Engineering and Specification Writing
+ Concept Generation, Evaluation and Selection
+ System and Component Design
+ Design Assessments
+ Development of Design Documentation
+ Design Support to Manufacturing and Production
+ Verification and Validation Activities
+ Reliability Availability Maintainability Safety (RAMS) Assessments
+ Risk Assessments (both technical and project)
+ Programme Management
The projects you are likely to be working on initially will be focussed towards nuclear, marine and rail sectors.

Qualification Requirements
+ MEng, BEng, BSc (Hons) degree in mechanical engineering (upper second class or above).
+ PhD qualified candidates are also welcome to apply

We are looking for talented, creative people to bring both practical and strategic vision to projects. You will be an engineer with experience in design, development or project engineering of high value assets in safety critical applications. As a minimum, a good understanding of at least three of the disciplines listed above will be required.

You will be a Chartered Engineer or actively pursuing Chartered Engineer status via a Monitored Professional Development Scheme with an accredited professional engineering institution.
You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills.
