PCB Manufacturing Manager - £350 - £375 per day - Essex, UK

Our client is a leading technology-based organization providing highly specialized motion control products, subsystems and services for the aerospace, defense and industrial markets.

They are seeking a PCB Manufacturing Manager for their expanding business needs.
Someone to manage the Manufacturing Function on-site and the complete supply chain.

RESPONSIBILITIES

**Procurement**
+ Responsible for developing the supply chain strategy.

+ Responsible for providing procurement support to the development process.

+ Responsible for maximising current supply-chain performance.

**Manufacturing**
+ Responsible for ensuring that the new products are introduced into production smoothly.

+ This involves developing and agreeing a clear set of requirements for the engineering function to meet and assisting the engineering team to meet these requirements.

+ Ensuring the core test equipment is flexible in order to allow the simple test of the products made.

+ Responsible for ensuring that new products are manufactured so that the delivered quality meets the customer requirement and that they are delivered on schedule.

+ This involves reviewing the test equipment strategy and implementing further testing at stages during the manufacturing process to minimise the cost of re-work.

+ Developing clear and simple visual work instructions for all manufacturing process. Responsible for driving innovation in the aftermarket service to maximise annual margin.

+ Improving the responsiveness and customer focus. Responsible for driving continuous change into our working practices so that the performance of the manufacturing function continues to improve and the costs fall continuously.

+ Responsible for developing the manufacturing and repair function to be best in class. Ensuring that the performance of staff within the function is managed effectively, that the resources are planned to meet the current and future manufacturing needs and the department works within the agreed budget.
