Production Engineer - Scientific Instruments. A well established, profitable and expanding engineering company who specialise in the design and manufacture of precision scientific instruments is expanding due to an unprecedented increase in orders from around the world.
To manage the production of multiple low volume, high value orders, a Production Engineer - Scientific Instruments is sought.
Role Purpose
+ To provide a technical engineering production support role to the project team for the manufacture of scientific instruments
+ Provide design, development and engineering support for new product introductions (NPI)
+ Monitor progress of all orders in areas such as design, product performance, schedules and margins
+ Create production plans, work instructions and related documentation
+ Liaise with customers, suppliers and colleagues on manufacturing and technical issues
Experience Required
+ Significant experience in production engineering within a high value, low volume, high technology manufacturing environment
+ Skilled in the use of MRP, ERP or similar planning and forcasting tools
+ Use of CAD design tools would be a significant advantage
Qualifications Required
+ HNC, HND, BSc or BEng degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Production, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering related subject
