A leading defence company based in Stevenage are seeking a Propulsion Systems Engineer to work on a number of missile based projects. The propulsion systems Engineer will ideally have previous defence experience working on weapon based systems, in a "systems engineering" or "design engineering" environment.
Key responsibilities:
* Provide support to the APL Bristol Proximity Manager, Propulsion Technical Expert and Project Chief Design Engineers as required
* Responsible for planning, conducting and reporting on the solid rocket propulsion design, study and test related activities across a number of projects
* Support the design of the solid rocket propulsion subsystem by working with the appropriate project teams to understand requirements and liaise with suppliers to identify the solution
* Conduct research into ways of improving the integration of solid rocket propulsion subsystems onto guided weapon systems
* Conduct research into the prediction of future trends in guided weapon solid rocket propulsion technologies
