Python/C++ Developer - LONDON
£300 - £350p/day

Our client is looking for an experienced Python Developer.
You will be working with an exceptionally well known media organisation on the next generation of TV, developing Python software and helping the team define the Set Top Boxes of the future.

You will be immersed in a fully multi-discipline environment working with a variety of other teams (C++, Flash, UX, and much more).

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with cutting edge hardware/software whilst embedded with an innovative and very established company.

As a software developer, you will enjoy finding solutions to problems and working in an agile team, to build maintainable and scalable solutions using best practice of the industry.

Responsibilities:
+ Designing and documenting solutions
+ Following defined development practises
+ Reviewing other team members' work
+ Pairing with others
+ Problem solving

Requirements:
+ Ability to think objectively and creatively to find solutions and a real problem solving attitude
+ Current and thorough knowledge of Python software development
+ Knowledge of C++ software development
+ Object Oriented Design & Analysis, including UML

Desirable:
+ Knowledge of embedding or extending python with C++
+ XML parsing and manipulation
+ SQL databases
+ Working in Agile environment
+Developing and scripting in Unix/Linux environment
