Our client, a leading global healthcare organisation, is looking to take on a QA Officer on a permanent basis in order to support the existing QA department.

Reporting directly to the UK QA Manager, the QA Officer will be responsible for providing QA support in relation to pharmaceutical products manufactured by the organisation worldwide for UK markets.

Key duties and responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

+ Supporting the QA Manager with the development and implementation of the change control system
+ Assisting with the maintenance of the supplier approval programme and conducting supplier audits
+ Supporting the QA Manager with internal and external regulatory inspections
+ Coordinating and operating the non-conformance management process
+ Maintaining and operating quality assurance complaints system for manufactured products and preparing appropriate customer responses as necessary
+ Initiating investigations with manufacturers and ensuring that they are carried out as required

The QA Officer must have the following skills and experience:

+ Significant relevant previous experience of working in a QA documentation and complaint handling based role within the pharmaceutical or medical devices industry
+ Demonstrable knowledge of CAPA and complaint handling systems
+ Thorough understanding of ISO9000, GMP and GDP
+ Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or scientific discipline (or equivalent experience)
+ Strong quality assurance administration skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

The above requirements are essential. Any applicants who do not fulfil this minimum criteria will not be considered.

The following requirements are not essential but would be advantageous:

+ Previous experience of auditing
+ Membership with a relevant professional institute (e.g. Chartered Quality Institute)
