Our client has been central to the defence of the United Kingdom for more than 50 years. Due to company growth they are looking to recruit a Quality Engineer - Product Improvement to join their Quality Engineering and Product Improvement.
The Role: Quality Engineer - Product Improvement
As Quality Engineer - Product Improvement you will be responsible for:
+ Support activities to ensure that the Manufacturing Quality Management System is fully compliant with legislative requirements
+ Promote the continuous improvement of the Manufacturing Quality Management System
+ Promote and maintain effective quality interfaces with internal customers
+ The integration of the Design to Manufacture process through the provision of an embedded Advanced Quality Tool set
+ Ensure that arrangements are in place to achieve implementation & compliance with Quality standards
+ Provide quality control systems for product quality improvement
+ Develop, maintain and implement a Product Quality improvement programme encompassing TQM, Lean, 6 Sigma and 5S
+ Management and delivery of risk management controls relevant to Manufacturing Quality within the asset
Experience:
As Quality Engineer - Product Improvement you will have experience of:
+ HNC/HND/Degree qualified in a relevant technical discipline
+ A working knowledge of Quality Management Systems including the application of ISO9001:2008
+ Good knowledge of basic and advanced quality tools, techniques and systems, with an appreciation of quality planning and control systems is essential
+ Sound Knowledge of tooling, processes and engineering principles
+ In depth Experience of ISO9001:2008 or similar quality management system
+ Experience of Management and delivery of risk management controls relevant to Manufacturing Quality
+ Previous experience of the Defence/Nuclear/FMCG industries would be advantageous
