Overall Purpose
Responsible for the supervision of 4 internal sales professionals and liaison with 12 external sales engineers around the world, the job holder will be a key part of the global sales team.
You will be based at the Weymouth HQ, which has responsibility for European sales, and also provides support to the USA, Middle-East, China, and Australia offices.
You will run the day-to-day sales operations, lead the Inside Sales Team of four people and be responsible for the performance of inside sales, order management, sales statistics, and liaison with field sales. They will also have specific customer accounts themselves. This is a very 'hands-on' role.
Responsibilities will include:
+ Managing daily sales activities, including handling customer enquiries, orders from customers, internal order processing, and control of pricing.
+ Supporting specific customer accounts, in conjunction with field sales.
+ Proposing and implementing improvements to sales processes, in order to improve efficiency and automate systems.
+ Providing sales inputs and market intelligence to the business, including inputs to the sales forecast.
+ Working with marketing to organise and support trade shows and direct marketing campaigns.
+ Communication with our sales offices in USA, Middle-East, China, and Australia about their orders and issues, and balancing product supply across the sales regions.
Person Specification
+ Proven track record and experience in a sales role. Experience in a B2B technology marketplace would be an advantage.
+ Very good spoken and written English. Other languages would be an advantage.
+ An excellent communicator.
+ Flexibility to take on many different types of tasks.
+ Attention to detail.
+ Willingness to travel internationally, on occasion.
+ Ambitious and energetic individual.
