Role: Senior Electronics Design Engineer

Salary: c. £37,000 - £40,000
Our client are a recognised centre of excellence in power and data management, Human Machine Interface (HMI) solutions, electronics systems, lighting and high integrity harness systems. Due to continued company growth they are looking to recruit a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join their Electronics Engineering team.
Role: Senior Electronics Design Engineer
As Senior Electronics Design Engineer you will be responsible for:
+ Pro-active design of high speed digital or integrated processor electronics, analogue circuits including EMC signal filtering, DC-DC converters, analogue/digital interface electronics
+ Generation of requirements to the implementation level
+ Working within a small multi-disciplined team to ensure successful overall design
+ Concept design to meet statuary safety requirements
+ Component selection and circuit design to interface processors/micro-controllers to digital networks, digital and analogue signals
+ Design to minimise EMC risks and manage thermal effects
+ Design for thermal effects including sizing and calculation of heat sink requirements
+ Detail to prototype standard, schematics ready for PCB layout
+ Production of design specifications, design descriptions and test procedures
+ Provide technical and cost data to Sales & Marketing Managers during bid preparation
+ Provide data for customer review and conduct presentations as required
Experience:
As Senior Electronics Design Engineer you will have experience of:
+ Degree Qualified or equivalent in Electronic Engineering or other relevant discipline
+ Knowledge of Analogue design techniques including filter design and power supply design
+ Experience of Digital Video design (Switching, routing and manipulation)
+ Experience interfacing with micro-controller, microprocessor, CPLD or FPGA devices
+ Vetronics or aerospace systems experience
+ Knowledge of Motorola HC12 / MPC555 / Microchip PIC family
