Our client are a wireless test and measurement company and they are looking to hire a Senior Hardware Project Manager. You will responsible for managing the on-time delivery of hardware development through engineering and facilitating early customer deliveries by liaising with the factory.

The Senior Hardware Project Manager will:

+ Take inputs from our engineering and commercial departments, the successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating the development, engineering build and delivery of new hardware throughout the development process
+ The main duties and responsibilities will include:-
+ Hardware project management and project planning
+ Managing all aspects of hardware development in Engineering
+ Driving Product development
+ Full product life cycle development applicable to our PXI modules and / or TM500 product
+ Tracking and communication of hardware requirements and delivery dates
+ Reporting progress and managing of delivery to engineering and commercial departments
+ Coordination and chasing of purchased parts with suppliers
+ Definition of product structures (BOMs)
+ Loading and chasing hardware builds at our client and other manufacturers
+ Ensuring that Business Unit, Software and Hardware groups are co-ordinated on deliveries
+ Ensuring that Engineering demand is loaded onto the production line

The Senior Hardware Project Manager will need:

+ A good standard of University education or equivalent in a relevant discipline with extensive experience within technical hardware project management
+ Ideally have a background in RF hardware engineering with project management skills and previous experience within an electronics or instruments manufacturing company
+ High volume manufacturing experience is highly desirable and would be an advantage as would a previous role within a test and measurement organisation
+ Product development (ideally instruments) knowledge is required along with good project management and planning skills and experience of utilising an MRP System
+ Good team and communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential as the candidate will be working closely with the design engineers, project managers, manufacturing group and other
engineering services team members
+ To be able to autonomously take on responsibility for delivery and development of hardware to prescribed timescales and requirements and be able to quickly learn, implement and adjust processes
