Senior Survivability Engineer, reporting directly to the Lead Survivability Engineer. The successful candidate will be a key player within the team. The role will place significant demands on their engineering knowledge and experience. The role will require close liaison and co-operation with the system engineering and integration subject matter experts and the platform & domain expertise residing in the wider businesses.
The candidate must be a team player who is prepared to lead from the front and work with a multi-national engineering team and the customer community. The individual will be required to work across geographical and cultural divides to draw together a comprehensive engineering capability that will derive a balanced system solution.
Responsibilities as a Senior Survivability Engineer :
+ Analysis of survivability requirements
+ Knowledge of current technologies and research
+ Writing LRU and component specifications
+ Lead and organise modelling and simulation activity
+ Write supplier SOW's
+ Write Survivability ICD's
+ Dealing with subcontractors during subsystem development
+ Coordinate and organise subsystem and component testing
+ Coordinate progressive assurance of the survivability solutions
+ Survivability subsystems development
+ Implementation of design solution
+ Support survivability integration and test activity on the platform prototypes
Skills and Experience as a Senior Survivability Engineer:
+ A relevant or associated degree to the role such as Mechanical or Automotive engineering or relevant experience
+ A proven track record
+ Experience of engineering platform designs against performance and reliability targets
+ Experience of defining, evaluating and qualifying system designs from a set of requirements
+ Experience with the design and development of platform systems throughout the SE lifecycle
+ Contemporary knowledge of existing and emerging technologies in the areas of automotive and vetronic systems
+ Ability to liaise with and present information to multidisciplined team members
+ Excellent presentation, verbal and written skills
Hold or be capable of holding security clearance up to the level of SECRET.
Willing to travel extensively within the UK and possibly overseas.
