Our client has been central to the defence of the United Kingdom for more than 50 years. Due to company growth they are looking to recruit a Senior Trials Assembly Engineer to join their Trials Assembly Engineering team.
Role: Senior Trials Assembly Engineer
As Senior Trials Assembly Engineer you will be responsible for:
+ Ensuring understanding and application of responsibilities with regards to the Company's Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards
+ Ensuring adequate processes are in place to control the movement of Assembly for Trials
+ Taking the lead in the production of Assembly for Trials Safe Systems of Work
+ Leading the review, acceptance and prove out of Assembly Dis-assembly Equipment
+ Providing Radiological Protection Supervisor (RPS) advice and guidance appropriate to Radiation controlled areas
+ Promoting and develop the right culture and encourage continuous improvement across the division
+ Working safely and take all necessary precautions to prevent fire and explosion in accordance with Manufacture and Storage of Explosives Regulations (MSER) Regulation 4
Experience:
As Senior Trials Assembly Engineer you will have experience of:
+ Degree qualified or equivalent in a mechanical or manufacturing engineering discipline
+ Knowledge of safety and quality techniques and procedures
+ Experience of control and movement of Explosives, RA and other hazardous materials
+ Experience of working from written procedures and drawing conventions
+ Experience of component manufacture, assembly techniques and trial requirements in research and development and service environments
+ Operational experience of working with explosives and weapon engineering
