Software Engineer An exciting opportunity to work for a leading Satellite organisation developing simulator software, providing software support to multi-disciplinary engineering teams and documenting software and associated systems. You will also need to be able to gain UK Security Clearance for this role.
Knowledge & Skills as a Software Engineer:
+ Excellent knowledge of C/C++
+ Software Design Experience
+ Good systems-engineering knowledge, including an appreciation for computer
systems (windows & Linux), hardware interfacing and software interaction.
+ Proven experience working with source control & change tracking systems.
+ Excellent engineering principles and an appreciation of electronic systems
(analogue & digital).
+ Experience developing to formal standards and specifications
+ Excellent team working skills.
+ Flexible and able to work under pressure
+ Knowledge of software imaging techniques, parallel processing techniques
+ Experience developing under Linux: gcc, gdb, developing software algorithms and modelling
Qualifications and Experience as a Software Engineer:
+ A good degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computing or similar subject or a reasonable amount of experience developing software for engineering applications
