Our client produces the world's most advanced software for modelling and analysing electromagnetic equipment and effects. Due to continued company growth they are looking to recruit a Software Systems Engineer to join their Software Engineering team.
The Role:
As Software Systems Engineer you will be responsible for:
+ Specifying the function requirements for new simulation solvers including engineering inputs, outputs and boundary conditions
+ Development of multi-physics numerical solvers and integration into range of FE software products developed in house
+ Supporting of the FE software throughout its product life cycle.
+ Developing in-depth knowledge of Vector Fields Software products and service offerings, technical capabilities, operations and staff, as quickly as possible
+ Managing and carrying out development projects in accordance with timescales and budgets agreed with the Development Manager
+ Testing and documenting software products that are developed in the group
+ Participating the activities of the software development group, and cooperate with other team members to advance the groups software products
+ Assisting with the planning and strategy of the future evolution of the groups software products
+ Keeping abreast in the engineering applications for which the software is used and use this information to define future enhancements of the software
+ Keeping abreast of development in the mathematical algorithms used by the numerical solvers in the group's software, and use this information to define future software enhancements to ensure the software keeps its reputation for capability and accuracy
Experience:
As Software Systems Engineer you will have experience of:
+ Degree qualified or equivalent in a technical discipline such as Physics, Advanced Mathematics or Electric Engineering
+ Experience of the design of numerical software and its engineering applications
+ A competent programmer in C++ and FORTRAN
+ Strong Mathematical background
+ Previous experience of developing Simulation Software
