Systems/ Software Engineer (C programming)
Location: Milton Keynes
Duration: 7 months
Rate: £250 - £285 per day
This role is for an individual contributor to join a software development team working on a next generation security appliance. Responsibilities will include the design and development of features, and supporting these through the test cycle.
The successful applicant must have a proven track record in design and coding of embedded solutions on an embedded Linux platform, and experience of the product development lifecycle. Strong communication skills, drive and customer focus is mandatory.
Minimum requirements:
* 8+ years experience in embedded software development
* Very strong C programmer
* Embedded Linux development experience with GNU toolchain
* Excellent design, implementation and debugging skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work in a fast, fluid, high-performance team
Desirable Skills & Experience:
* Good knowledge of networking concepts, protocols and security technologies
* Good knowledge of XML and XPath
