Systems Test Engineer - Software. A highly successful and well established technology company have secure substantial orders for their innovative electronic payment equipment. To ensure their range of smart-card and contactless payment systems meet stringent performance and reliability requirements, at least 3 Systems Test Development Engineers - Software are required.
Job purpose:
To identify software defects and inconsistencies in functionality against defined performance measures on the Central System Back Office and to progress and verify their correction.
Key responsibilities:
+ To prepare test plans
+ To prepare detailed functional test specifications for both device and system tests
+ To liaise with Engineering departments and customers with regard to testing of projects
+ To conduct tests both in house and in the presence of the customer
+ To prepare and conduct in-house reliability tests
+ To coordinate and oversee the work of Test Technicians, collating results and reporting defects
+ To prepare and conduct environmental tests
You will work closely with development engineers to devise tests and provide meaningful feedback and come into contact with customers from time to time.
Personal Specification
Qualifications:
+ HNC, HND, BSc, BEng, MSc Degree in an Engineering Discipline
+ ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst
+ ITSO qualification
Experience
+ Experience within a Product test or QA environment.
+ Experience of each stage of the Software Development Life Cycle.
+ Effectiveness within previous role of ensuring software is released with a minimum of defects reaches the customer
+ Ability to write good reports and general word processing skills (Word, Excel, Databases).
+ ITSO Testing
+ Experience of Bus Systems / London Transport or automotive industry testing
+ Working knowledge of SQL
