A well established engineering organisation with a global reputation in the design and build of bespoke electronic systems has secured a major project resulting in the need for a Test & Repair technician.
Job Role:
Working within the Production Test Team and reporting to the Test and Repairs Manager, the Test and Repairs Technician will be required to carry out tasks associated with the manufacturing process, within the test facility. The job holder is responsible for ensuring that the product is tested to the required quality standards, whilst maintaining scheduled customer delivery dates.
Key Tasks:
Test Tasks may include the following:
+ Electronically test items from production, in accordance with customer specifications and by completing relevant test documentation.
+ Fault finding to component level using customer circuit diagrams
+ Write and maintain process notes for all product tested
+ Carry out visual inspections to IPC610 on all product tested.
+ Record defect information.
+ Escalate failures and assist analysing data.
+ Repair and maintain test equipment where appropriate
+ Identify future equipment requirement
+ Assist in the compilation of process notes for testing of all product variants

Experience Required
+ Significant commercial experience in the fault finding to component level of PCB electronic systems
+ Capable of working with a variety of commercial off the shelf and bespoke test equipment.

Education
+ City & Guilds, ONC, HNC or Degree in Electronics
