Testing


We can offer a range of tests which can be used for:

Fast-track

What is it??  An interactive test that assesses an individual's capacity to analyse new and incomplete information in order to make decisions.

How does it work?  The simulation involves a series of card-based scenarios that require different analysis and decision-making strategies which simultaneously test how quickly and accurately a person can assimilate and work with incomplete information.

What is it good for? Roles where there is a requirement to rapidly assimilate information.

Brainstorm
What is it?  An interactive test that provides a structured measure of occupational creativity.


How does it work?  This is done through a series of challenging business situations. 

What is it good for?  Particularly beneficial for roles where there is a requirement to think creatively or "outside the box" e.g. marketing, research, scientific, all management levels from graduate upwards.

Scenarios
What is it? This test  measures managerial judgement.


How does it work?  Individuals are presented with 16 hypothetical managerial situations, each of which is followed by a series of several possible responses. Individuals are asked to rate each of these responses using a six point scale. Answers are compared with a set of ideal answers by managerial experts,

What is it good for? Giving an assessment of an individual's judgement for   
themselves or their team.   Particularly effective for on-going development of managers               

Testing feedback
With the majority of our OPQ tests a report is produced. Our trained assessor then gives 1-1 feedback to ensure that individuals/line managers understand the testing.

Feedback comes in the form of:

  • OPQ manager reports
  • OPQ teams reports
  •  OPQ leadership reports                                
Assessment centres


We can also offer our clients assistance in participating in, or running assessment centres. These can be of benefit for either new starters or continuous development of existing staff.

The centres provide the provide opportunity to assess and benchmark individuals. Our trained assessor can either come along and run the centre or provide the relevant training to hiring and line managers.

Flexible delivery

As with any of our services we offer flexibility and these tests can be delivered in whichever format suits your business best.

They may either be carried out online, or our dedicated consultant can visit client sites. Alternatively we can also offer this service at any of our four CBSbutler offices.
