We bid farewell to our longest serving team members

Thank you and farewell to our longest serving team members at CBSbutler

Last month we bid Farewell to our longest serving team members Sandy Allen, Senior Administrator and David Kennedy (DK), Commerical Director.

We held an exclusive party at The Reigate Manor, Cellar rooms, where the CBSbutler team bid farewell to two of our much liked and respected colleagues, who after a combined 40 years with CBSbutler, have decided to retire from the company. They have been the most loyal members to date so far and have pretty much seen it all here at Kings Mill Lane. The sheer length of their service is a true testament to how we retain staff and look after our people. Here at CBSbutler we ensure that the right strategy for development and growth is individually set out to each employee, who can then really grow and develop into their roles, as Sandy and David did. Everyone here at CBSbutler will miss them dearly.

We held a cracking farewell party in their honour, in an exclusive Reigate venue. It was a special night for all, filled with laughter, tears, speeches and crazy dance moves, where the whole team had a chance to wish them well in their retirement. These two likeable characters will forever be remembered as we reminisce over past company successes and jollies.
Our Chairman David Leyshon shared some great memories and thoughts on the two of them by saying…

“Two of our longest standing staff are leaving us. Firstly, Mr David Kennedy, who has been our eminent Financial Director, and has guided us through both the management buy-out and now latterly, the sale of the company. DK has been a loyal business partner and I hold him with the highest regard, both personally and professionally.

Secondly, Sandy Allen, who is indeed the longest serving member after myself, and whose contribution to the administration function has been immense.  She has also been an extremely popular member of the team, and will be sorely missed by all.  We wish her well for her retirement.”

Both Sandy and Dave also wanted to share their thanks to the whole team who have been a part of so many special memories for them...

“  “I just wanted to thank everyone for my leaving presents, they are fabulous! I am sorry I did not get to see everyone before I left. I have loved my time at CBSbutler (sounds like a prison sentence!) but changes have to come and I had to retire! I wish you all luck and will definitely miss you, thank you for being my friends as well as work colleagues.

A special thank you to Catherine for organising everything you have been brilliant as always. Thank you to Antonio for my album, great memories and Thanks to Kayhan and Dave Rowe for my lovely gift I look forward to going.

Au Revoir for now”
Sandy x

David Kennedy went on to share a few emotional words that best summed up his time here with all the great achievements and memories over the last 20 years...

“After 19 years, it does not seem real, I have had some great times at CBSbutler and worked with some great people. There are so many memories that I take with me, such as the weekend in Dublin after the MBO back in 2003. Our first Recruiter Awards win and the subsequent awards after that. The camaraderie with the London to Paris bike ride and so on and so on.

The biggest thing for me though is the events of recent weeks. I can leave the Company on a high knowing that it is now entering a truly exciting phase under its new ownership. Having worked closely with Brendan Flood over the last few months I can only see positives for everyone involved.
I would like to thank David Leyshon for his unswaying support over the years but more importantly, I would like to thank you all for making CBSbutler what it is.
I wish you all the very best for the future Thank you again"

Good bye Sandy and DK and thank you for all your support and work over the years.
