CBSbutler are getting on their bikes with the Bike2Work Scheme
The Bike2Work Scheme enables employers to assist their employees to take part in the government sponsored Cycle to Work Scheme, helping their staff keep fit and supplementing their efforts to move towards ‘green’ operation: more staff cycling to work means less staff driving!
Here at CBSbutler we are incredibly lucky to be located out in the leafy ‘burbs of Redhill, Surrey, and so our journeys to work are particularly beautiful. Working outside of the City allows us to #avoidthehorror of the public transport systems and truly spectacular London traffic, and being able to jump on a bike to get into work just makes that fresh-air journey all the more enjoyable.
CBSbutler is also committed to improving and sustaining green functionality, reducing our carbon footprint both as a company and as individuals. Cycling to work not only helps keep us fit, it helps keep the earth healthy too.
The Bike2Work Scheme website lists the benefits of the scheme to both employers and employees:
The system is designed to be easy to administer: employers register and are given an employer pin; employees then register using their employer’s pin, choose their bike and obtain a written quotation. This quotation is submitted online, the Bike2Work Scheme raise an invoice and hire agreement which is sent to the employer, which is then agreed and signed by both employer and employee; payment is made, a voucher issued and the employee redeems this voucher to collect their bike or equipment.
The Bike2Work scheme administrates the scheme completely free of charge, providing all materials required. Registering with the Scheme also qualifies companies for registration with Green Achiever and inclusion in the Green Achiever directory.
