So what's the difference between a Recruiter and a Sourcing Ninja?

A Sourcing Ninja is a new generation of recruitment consultant, whos skilful mastery of the mystical 'dark arts' of internet recruitment enables them to identify and engage with the industry's best talent - quicker than the competition.

On Thursday last week Digital Recruitment Sensei-tion and MD of online training company Social Talent, Johnny Campbell, visited CBSbutler HQ to put our consultants through their paces at the industry recognised 'Black Belt Bootcamp in Internet Recruitment. 

Consultants in attendance widely recognised that Social Talents pioneering and innovative approach to online recruitment had been a real eye opener.

 

Our new generation of CBSbutler Resourcing Ninjas are now equipped to fish for the best candidates, knowing what bait to use and the leading techniques to reel in the top talent IN the market, not just the best talent ON the market.

  • Initially the thought of an all-day training session is met with dread! I thoroughly enjoyed the session with Johnny Campbell, it was not only incredibly engaging but exceptionally informative. I really do feel the tools he showed up to compose greater, faster and more in depth searches, how to utilise the massive functionality of Google, Linkedin, Twitter etc will really have a positive impact on my day to day sourcing. 

  • All of the tools that he showed us are very useful and if I'm honest it's embarrassing that we haven't known about them sooner given their capabilities. The Social Talen Boolean search tool will be a fantastic timesaver and for me personally should help to uncover the candidates that don't have the easy to search terms in their CV's. I found Johnny completely engaging and easy to understand, his ability to translate the training into simple actions that any recruiter can use was great.

  • Really helpful, search generator will save a lot of time and make searches a lot more effective. Tricks to get email addresses etc and being able to make contact with private accs on linkedin will be useful too and help get in touch with people others can't.  Overall really good.

  • Very useful session... lots of helpful tips and hints - especially the section on how to utilise LinkedIn more effectively. Also nice to have a refresher on different Boolean searches and what the different methods are.
The general consensus across all the consultants was that the Bootcamp was hugely beneficial, and we look forward to our Brown Belts obtaining their Black Belts in due course.
