An opportunity is now available for a Field Service Engineer within a leading manufacturer and supplier of Medical Nurse Call Systems.

A Field Engineer is required to service and install electronic/electrical nurse call alarms and nurse call systems whilst attending medical clients including hospitals and nursing homes/care homes, ensuring the work is completed efficiently and to the highest quality.

Working 40 hours a week as a field engineer you will visit a variety of different locations, dealing with a variety of customers including patients and medical professionals so good customer-serving skills are required.

As a Mobile Engineer you will cover the Home Counties and London, with occassional travel to the South Coast. Flexibility to stay away 1-2 nights/month will be required.

Package;

  • Salary up to £27,000

  • Overtime and on call opportunities - equating to an extra £5,000/year

A new exciting role for a Field Service Engineer has opened up in an expanding company (an OEM) specialising in the manufacture, service, repair and testing of medical endoscope washers / endoscope re-processors used for medical decontamination purposes.

Whilst covering a Northern Scotland territory the successful Service Engineer will travel to customer sites including hospitals and surgical wards, endoscopy suites, sterile services departments etc. to maintain, repair and test the washers which are used to chemically sterilise endoscopes for safe re-use.

Experience in this field is NOT required as training is provided. However, an electrically-biased service and repair engineering background is essential.

Supplier Quality Engineer

A renowned company who design, develop, manufacture a range of highly complex precision engineered products & systems are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer.

As the companies Quality representative to its supply chain you will be responsible for the Quality approval of supplier/component sources for the manufacture of various products.

You will work closely with the approved suppliers to resolve any manufacturing issues, enforce specification and quality standards, lead supplier audits and provide Quality support throughout the lifecycle of the product. You will be the Quality representative responsible to the approval process for the selection of supplier/component sourcing.

Duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Review and approve supplier manufacturing and inspection quality plan.

  • Monitor and evaluate the quality performance of suppliers.

  • Share these metrics with the purchasing teams and QMS Manager to continually evaluate the supply chain;

  • Ensure supplier understanding and compliance with the company Quality requirements;

  • Determine root cause of supplier manufacturing problems and lead implementation of resolution in a timely, effective, and efficient manner.

Essential Skills:

  • Mechanical engineering qualification or experience;

  • Practical experience, performing (in-process, where applicable) and final inspection(s) on parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies;

  • Knowledge of manufacture methods;

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001;

  • Experience and knowledge of ISO 10012;

  • A sound knowledge of BS 8888 of the key principles required to read & interpret engineering drawings;

  • Experience in applying the First Article Inspection (FAI), PPAP, 8D reporting and 5 Whys processes;

  • Quality processes experience in either the aerospace, military and/or defence industries

This field service engineering role will consist of servicing, installing, fault finding and repairing our high-end security gates and barriers across the UK and EU, ensuring that the work is completed in the most efficient manner without compromising quality. Working 40 hours a week as a field engineer you will visit a variety of unique locations to ensure customer security is kept up to date with today's standards.

Requirements;

  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Prior field-based experience.
  • Living within or, a commutable distance, of the M25.
  • An electromechanical service repair background working with large scale equipment - mechanically biased
  • Flexible to work on-call (1 in 6 weeks) + overtime.

Package;
