One of the UK's leading suppliers of high-end sterilisation and quality process equipment is now recruiting for a Sterilisation Service Engineer to join their busy and expanding field service engineering team.

My client are a prestigious, niche business working exclusively with 3 Italian manufactures who work with a number of high-status pharmaceutical organisations carrying service, repair and installation on sterile process equipment.

Working with the likes of Pfizer and GSK, the engineer will be required to travel to customer sites in the pharmaceutical and life-sciences field, offering repair and maintain services for the autoclaves/sterilisers, RO systems, steam generators etc. required for laboratory equipment sterilisation or water treatment services.

The role will require extensive travel and staying away from home, with the successful Service Engineer covering UK wide and each job taking between 3-5 days to complete.

The Project Engineering Manager is required to support various projects ensuring that delivered systems meet customer and design requirements for function, performance and qualification in all its aspects.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Management of multi-disciplined engineering teams. Working closely with project and sub-contract managers.

  • Responsible for generating strong engineering plans, establishing key milestones, forecasts and identifying/managing risk, opportunity and interdependencies.

  • Managing the engineering effort through the establishment and support of a work package framework throughout the project execution.

  • Continual review of the status of engineering within a project, adapting plans as required to mitigate risks to cost, schedule and performance budgets.

  • Participate in contract status reviews, design reviews, and supplier progress reviews, and produce targets for action closure.

Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required

  • Experience of management within a Defence contractor environment

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in an engineering or engineering related discipline

  • Strong track record of implementing engineering lifecycles and processes.

  • Experience of successful application of Earned Value Management practices.

  • Holding, or be capable of attaining, UK SC security clearance.

  • Previous experience of successfully managing and/or leading multi-disciplined engineering teams within:

Platform level design and integration of systems within a Land or Maritime environment
