Role :
+ Lead projects related to the development of materials and processes for Fuel Cells

Responsibilities :
+ Deliver improved materials and processes required to meet project technical objectives within agreed timescales

Skills / Experience :
+ Experience in the development of Fuel Cell technology and / or deep understanding

HGV/PSV/RSV Fitters required for maintenance and repair of a varied fleet of Lorries, Buses and Bin Lorries, working on a day basis Monday to Friday (40 hours a week)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out MOT inspections and repair (Transport)
  • Undertake standard vehicle/equipment inspections, services and repairs
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults
  • Working independently attending and managing routine servicing, site breakdowns and ensuring all repairs are controlled and rectified efficiently
  • Participate in providing standby and call-out cover
  • Ensure all correct paperwork is completed and accurate records maintained

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Experienced fitter with chassis and MOT preparation experience
  • Previous experience of working HGV, basic welding, hydraulic and auto electrical skills are desirable but not essential
  • Understanding of VOSA (Transport) requirements (VOSA certificate desirable)
  • Knowledge of vehicle inspection standards and scheduled maintenance requirements
  • Able to work well and safely as part of a team
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and work unsupervised
  • Able to work to tight deadlines, paying close attention to detail

Skills and qualifications will ideally include:

· QMS implementation and lead auditing to recognised aerospace standards

· Proven Quality experience operating in EN9100, EN9110, TickIT Plus, EASA Part-21(G) & EASA Part-

145 environments.

· Proven background in Quality Assurance and thorough understanding of Quality tools and techniques

· Quality Planning - ability to effectively flow down Customer specific requirements and ensuring capture

of all quality requirements relating to the achievement of product compliance

· Excellent root cause analysis and corrective action understanding, including use of lean tools such as

8D, and DFMEA / PFMEA.

· Sound electro-mechanical engineering background and associated inspection knowledge.

· Attention to detail and methodical approach

· Self-starter with a desire for problem solving and process improvement

· Professional conduct and good communication skills to influence both internally and externally.

Your main responsibilities will involve:

· Generation and implementation of Quality plans to meet Customer requirements

· Completion of required First Article Inspections (AS9102) and ensure smooth transition of new products

into production

· Drive product and process non-conformance investigations and associated root cause analysis activities

including concession management

· Manage and host Customer audits and source inspection activities

· Ensure inspection process adherence and associated physical and document sign-off of product prior to

despatch.

· Manage Quality escapes and Customer investigations.
