Commissioning engineers work with a wide range of different construction and engineering projects in the United Kingdom and abroad. They often play a supporting role for other construction and engineer teams, primarily to commission and monitor the installation of new equipment and control systems. Their focus is usually on ensuring that installation and operation is as safe and efficient as possible, but the average daily duties of a commissioning engineer can change depending on the job and industry you’re working in. Fault finding, testing, analysis, producing commission documents, and supervision of operations can all fall under this role.
