Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with Project Managers and Architects to understand the planned solution and identify possible impact on Service Model and/or processes;
  • Attend Project review meetings as requested by Project Management (including Business Commitment Reviews if required);
  • Identification of Risks, Issues, Assumptions and Dependencies related to Projects and their impact upon ongoing Service Model and/or processes;
  • Develop and implement Service Model changes appropriate to the solution / change;
  • Input to development of new/revised service processes and associated training material if required;
  • Responsible for the creation of the following components:

o Service organisation design.

o Service management process/procedure definition.

o Customer engagement (to agree processes & interfaces).

o Service desk design / modification.

o Service reporting design.

o Service management tool design.

o Service management / design proposals to customers.

o Service management consultancy.

o Change Requests for projects which require out of scope deliverables.

o The Service Architect can be engaged during any of the following phases of the service lifecycle, but is usually focused on Transition.

To liaise with Technical architects and Service Operations (Infrastructure Support / Application Support) to identify changes required to the Support Model / Processes as a result of the capability delivered by the portfolio of projects in the pipeline.
