Role and responsibilities:

Working as part of a larger team, you will undertake a number of consultancy assignments that could include:

Providing technical assurance that proposed solutions are fit for purpose;

Providing consultancy and advice to customers on Information Assurance and architectural problems;

Identifying, analysing and evaluating information risks;

Identifying and presenting options for treating or transferring information risks;

Authoring and/or supporting the development of Risk Management Accreditation Document Sets (RMADS) in accordance with IS1 & IS2;

Scoping security testing activities, and explaining the findings and required remedial actions to project stakeholders;

Investigating security incidents;

Promoting security awareness within project teams, and within the company.

Strong A levels, in at least one STEM subject;

Degree in a GCHQ certified Information / Cyber / Systems Security degree;

A good understanding of enterprise information and communications technology;

You will be required to perform engineering activities within the photonic components Pilot Line product development and manufacturing team. This team develops and manufactures packaged transmitters and receivers for high bit rate optical communication systems.

Role and Responsibilities:

+ Knowledgeable graduate engineer, preferably with experience in designing and commissioning automated test equipment (ATEs) for optoelectronics components. Will join a product development and pilot line manufacturing team and contribute to the development and introduction to manufacture of new packaged components for optical transmission systems.

+ The role will involve input to the design of new products, build of proto-types to demonstrate product feasibility, development of processes and process equipment that can be transferred into manufacture to enable production of new designs. A close link with the NPI and manufacturing teams will be required to ensure products & process are designed to be manufactured within the tolerance capabilities of designated manufacturing equipment.

+ Responsible for designing and implementing automated test solutions covering all aspects of the process including software, firmware and hardware. Within this role you will:

  • Transition of the ISO 9001 : 2008 to the ISO 9001 : 2015 standard.
  • Maintain and continually improve the quality management system.
  • Advising on QA system changes and their implementation when necessary and provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve the required levels of quality.

An opportunity has arisen to work for a leading manufacturing company in the North East region to work as an E&I Technician on a 6 month contract. My client are currently looking for 5 technicians to join their team due to an increased workload on a current project.

The team of technicians would ensure full maintenance of the plant and equipment, as well as maintenance of manufacturing and filling systems.

Key responsibilities include:

Actively participates in HSE&S, Sustainability and Quality activities, including the use of point of work risk assessment.

Ensure safe systems of work are in place for both planned and reactive activities, including isolation of energy sources and the issue of Permit to Work.

Create and maintain isolation procedures, change control documents and systems.

Assists in the testing and commissioning of EC&I systems

Skills required:

Time Service E/I technician

5 years' experience as a minimum in a manufacturing/heavy industry

Minimum of 5 years experience of commissioning, maintenance and supporting of site equipment and systems

Understanding of commissioning automation systems

Instrumentation biased.
