A FTSE 500 company. In the UK some of their services include; IT consulting services, technology products, managed services, cloud-based solutions, and systems integration.


This 2nd Line Support Engineer Team Lead role will require you to investigate and resolve issues that are raised and escalated from the 1st Line Team and you will also look to resolve 3rd Line issues as well. These incidents will cover both infrastructure and application issues which require investigation and resolution or escalation to 2nd or 3rd tier support. You will also be required to manage the team of 2nd Line Engineers so prior experience of managing a small team or mentoring others would be needed within this role.

This role will be on a shift basis, working days and nights, but you will be compensated by a 15% Shift Allowance which is paid each month on top of your basic salary.

Skill Set:

  • Understanding of ITIL system management

  • Windows Server 2008 platforms

  • Microsoft Group Policies

  • VMware ESX and vCentre

  • Base understanding of SCOM

  • Base understanding of SCCM

  • Anti-Virus management and reporting

  • Experience of management/mentoring
