Paying between £50,000 - £55,000 per annum DOE

Job Description

The server engineer will be carrying out a mixture of level 3 support role and project work. The client supports a wide range of platforms for public sector customers. Ideally, we are looking for an engineer with experience of fault finding and resolution. With the ability to work under pressure during incidents.

Required Skills

• Operating Systems, including implementation and support of the following technologies on Windows Server 2016 and 2019

• Active Directory - Directory Services

• Domain Naming Services

• Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol

• Group Policies

• SQL Server 2016

• SharePoint 2016

• Exchange Server 2016

• Skype for Business

• Administration and support of System Center Environments.

• Administration and experience of Backup solutions ArcServe UDP.

• Orion

• Logging and Event Manager

• Web Helpdesk.

• Strong communicator both written and verbal.

• Experience of both support and project roles.

• Strong time management as jobs often have tight timelines.

• Management Virtual environments

• VMware ESXi 6.0 to 7.0,

• VMware vCenter Server 6.5 and 6.7

• VMware Horizon 7.x / 8

The following would also be beneficial:

• MCP/MCSA/MCSE Qualified.

• Knowledge / Experience of Cloud technologies specifically Azure / O365.

• Experience of working in secure environments an advantage.
