The Role:

The work is to upgrade a legacy platform to a new fit for purpose version on the latest coding this means we need someone with experience on asp.net classic and asp.net ver3 to the new asp.net Ver4

The current platform hosts several bespoke applications developed in-house over past 10-15 years, based on varied legacy and new technologies such as Web forms, IIS, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Access, asp.net frameworks ('Classic' and v3.x), Oracle 11g, Oracle BI, C#, PL/SQL and Visual Basic, Microsoft Excel etc.

Deployment of the new strategic platform has necessitated migration of legacy applications onto a common set of strategic technologies utilised on the new platform. This approach is aimed to ensure future proofing through scalability, security, technical support, enhancements of existing and development of future applications, ease of operations using common set of resources for administration, software patching, backup, archive, storage etc.

The current core application functionality and data, developed using asp.net (v3.x) framework with Oracle 11g backend database and Oracle BI, is to be migrated and deployed on the new platform using the latest asp.net (v4.x) framework.

This requires integrating with Active Directory Windows Server 2019), Email Exchange (2019) and SharePoint (2019) and MS SQL Server (2019) components deployed on the new tenant environment.
