Assembly Technician
Location: Royston
Contract length: 6 month (likely to extend with potential to go permanent)
Rates: £10.25ph

A market leading engineering business operating in the Biotech and Pharmacuitical industries are seeking an Assembly Technician to be responsible for the hands on assembly and testing of products. You will also work with the production team and other internal functions to continuously identify design , process and efficiency improvements. The goal is to ensure work is completed to required timescales, output and quality targets

Training can be provided for the right candidate. Some experience within a production/ manufacturing environment is desirable.

Responsibilities of Assembly Technician

  • Hand assembly of intricate plastic and metallic products

  • Manage high quality build in an efficient manner

  • Follow defined processes, accurately

  • Prepare the materials required for weekly production

  • Ensure that production documentation is correctly recorded and is kept up to date.

  • Effectively communicate with the Team Leader to maintain the efficiency of the cell(s).

  • Ensure that the production tooling is in good operable condition and report / liaise with engineering if repairs are required

  • Pack completed consumables in the correct packaging

  • Enter data into the production records as required

  • Experience of working in a manufacturing, production or assembly environment
