Assistant Project Manager
A world leading Aerospace and Defence organisation is looking to recruit an Assistant Project Manager to manage stakeholder lines, including customers, where appropriate and ensure accurate reporting of progress against all aspects of contract performance.
As an Assistant Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
+ Implement effective project management processes, tools and reporting mechanisms on achievement of programme and budgets.
+ Monitor and control of all activities and costs, defining and implementing corrective actions
+ Maintain accountability for the cost, schedule and technical performance of the programme. Anticipate and manage dependencies, risk and opportunities in support of increase business performance.
+ Conduct effective risk and opportunity management, ensuring all risks and opportunities are recorded, managed and tracked.
+ Develop and maintain key relationships with the customer and other external agencies.
+ Work as part of the bid team with sales and business development in winning new domestic contracts.
Skills and Qualifications required:
+ Project and risk management skills and knowledge
+ Management experience covering financial, commercial, engineering and project areas
+ The ability to quickly pick up new tool sets and processes, with good analytical skills
+ Ability to analyse schedule and cost data for impending difficulties and clearly communicate to the Project Manager/Programme Manage
