Job title: Automation Architect
Location: Hampshire
Rate: £750 per day inside ir35
Contract: 6 months+

DV security clearance is required for this role

I am looking for an Automation Architect for a client of mine who are a leading IT Systems Integrators operating within the UK defence sector

Your role
You will be responsible for the creation of design artefacts then produce the packaged components using industry standard tooling and CI/CD methodologies which vary in size and complexity. You will work closely with the Solution Owner, fellow Architects and Project Managers to ensure that deliverables are defect free and meet the customer requirements.

Your experience:
* Experience in the creation of Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines to deliver Infrastructure releases to a highly secure environment
* Production of high-quality solutions and documentation, using a structured approach, for components with varying degrees of complexity
* Responsibility of owning the delivery of work packages from design, through prototyping, ensuring the work package meets functional and non-functional requirements. The skills necessary to troubleshoot and problem solve. The candidate will script repeatable unit tests to exercise functionality, which will account for desired and undesired outcomes
* As an Automation Architect you will be responsible for the delivery of ongoing change to the work package, in response to evolving user requirements
* Candidates must have experience in Hashicorp Terraform and Vault, Red Hat Ansible, as well as the creation of software delivery processes to compliment these products
* General Windows Infrastructure skills (Windows Server installation & configuration, AD, Group Policy etc.)
* General Virtualisation skills (VMWare etc.)
* Strong Networking Skills
* Experience of working on secure infrastructure solutions
