Bid Manager

A global high-tech company and one of the key players in the Aerospace and Defence sectors are seeking a Bid Manager to be part of the core team structure and possess the relevant skills and behaviours to influence and lead all bids assigned to them.

Key Responsibilities-

+ Delivery of completed bids, proposals and tenders and responsible for activity

+ Oversee transition from Business Winning phases to Contract Execution through Life Cycle Management

+ Handover to Project Managers to commence contract execution phase

+ Ensuring that product gateway reviews are completed appropriately, managing the proposal document development process win themes, outlining, storyboarding, graphics and writing.

+ Leading a bid team and ensuring success and execution of tasks

+ Coordination of the bid and major stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications required-

+ Experience of creation/planning work breakdowns and meeting challenging timescales

+ Understanding of sales and marketing environment

+ Understanding of Trade Compliance and Control principles and export restrictions

+ Preferably a degree or equivalent qualification related to the nature of the role (i.e. Technical or Business related)

+ The candidate will need a detailed understanding of Bid Management principals with a sound comprehension of Risk and Opportunity management

+ Good organisation skills are essential an understanding of time and cost
